Attitude                   Effort                    Respect

On the first day of school, in each class, we composed a list of the different ways each rule can be followed. The students generated some great ideas about how they can demonstrate that they have a positive attitude, are putting forth their best efforts, and are showing respect for others. Below is a combined list created by the 6th and 7th grade students. 

Attitude

  • have a positive attitude
  • help others
  • say positive things and try to avoid complaining
  • ​smile as often as you can

Respect 

  • BE HONEST- we all make mistakes
  • listen to others
  • show respect for the property of others (school, peers, teacher)
  • be mindful of your words
  • ​pick up after yourself

Effort

  • do your best work
  • turn your work in on time
  • take your time and try not to rush
  • use your time wisely
  • participate in class
  • ASK QUESTIONS and ask for help
