Welcome parents, families, and students!
My name is Ms. Pardy and this is my third year teaching middle school at CDS! I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with such wonderful students in such a great community.
This year, like last, I will be teaching Social Studies to all of the 6th and 7th grade students. For homework information and reminders, check out your grade level's page by clicking the link at the top. This information will be organized by the week and date. For homeroom or parent updates/information, check the "Newsfeed" below.
If you have any questions or concerns (before, during, or after school), please feel free to contact me by e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Newsfeed*- Important Updates and Information
Maine Science Festival 2018
Due to another school’s last minute cancellation, CDS Grades 5 and 6 will be able to attend the Maine Science Festival at the Cross Insurance Center on FRIDAY, MARCH 16. This day is a “Field Trip Day” that includes special exhibits for the students to experience. We will be leaving school at 8:15am and returning by 12:30 pm.
All students will need to bring a snack that they can eat easily and quickly between sessions and a bagged lunch to eat when we return to school. If you child requires a school bagged lunch, the regular lunch fee will apply. You will need to let the homeroom teacher know a bagged lunch is needed by a note or email by TUESDAY, MARCH 13.
We are looking for 1-2 chaperones per classroom. We understand that this is a last minute field trip and many are unavailable due to the late notice. If you are able to go, please send in a note or email to your child’s homeroom teacher. The buses are full with the number of students going so parent chaperones will have to take their own transportation or carpool.
Any questions, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher.
Just a reminder to parents that tomorrow IS a HALF DAY.
?Wishing all of my students a safe and healthy vacation!
Social Studies Reminder**
Missing or late work needs to be completed and turned in by March 1st.
6-3 Homeroom Students and Parents,
?If you would like to send in a snack for the class this Friday, 12/22/17, please let me know via e-mail or a note sent in with your student. We will have some time together on Friday morning and enjoy a small homeroom celebration. Food, after all, does make everything a little bit more fun ;). Happy Holidays, everyone!
Dear 6th Grade Students and Parents,
After talking with the 6th grade this morning, I have decided to make their Ancient Egypt projects due after winter break. The students will have class time all of next week (except for the Friday half day) to work on their projects. Finishing touches will be done on Tuesday 1/2/18, when we come back. The projects will be due 1/3/18.
7th Grade-- Your tests have been graded and posted to web2school. I'll pass them back to you on Monday.
6th Grade-- Don't forget to study for your test on Monday over Mesopotamia. Use your study guide to Review!
*Reminder* The trimester closes on December 1st. This year, teachers will not be accepting late/missing/make-up work the week before the trimester closes. Make sure to check web2school soon, and talk with your teacher(s) about any missing grades. The end of the first trimester seems to come abruptly because it follows Thanksgiving Break.
*Reminder* Only a few more days to sign up for parent/teacher conferences.
Open House will be held on Monday, August 28th at 6 P.M.
If you would like to leave a comment or ask a question, please fill out the information below; however, the best way to contact me is by e-mail.
